Business Analyst - Investment Management




Job Requirements

Required Skills:


  • Strong understanding and experience in the investment management life cycle. Candidate understands portfolio management capabilities related to portfolio exposure analysis, order generation, order execution, and multiple asset types (equities, ETFs, index futures, total return swaps, fx spots and forwards, and options) 

  • Experience working on change management initiatives with investment management personnel, such as portfolio managers, traders, investment operations, and investment data analysts 

  • Knowledge in investment management data domains - portfolio attributes, portfolio holdings (IBOR), indexes, reference data (SRM, exchange, country, and currency), market data, risk analytics and corporate actions,  

  • Strong meeting facilitation skills: effectively manage meetings (e.g., requirement gathering sessions, requirement read-outs, issue log status updates); other duties include meeting planning and follow up (e.g., distribute meeting agendas, action items, and decisions made)  

  • Well versed in business process flow documentation and tools (Visio and iGrafx). Able to conduct working sessions to elicit requirements working with multiple stakeholders, synthesis requirements in a process map, and socialize with stakeholders to achieve buy-in. 

  • Experience working on a custom-built technical solution and drafting UI (user interface) wireframes.  

  • Experience with investment data, such as index and reference data. 

  • Strong investment accounting knowledge or Strong order management knowledge, such as Charles River



Educational Requirement:



  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an information technology field (e.g., Computer/Management Information Systems (MIS/CIS), Computer Science (CS), Electrical/Computer Engineering (EE/CE), or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
